CFP: Sounding Off: Audio Ecologies in/and American Women’s Writing (panel being organized for SSAWW Nov. 4-7, 2021) 

This panel explores productions/adaptations of and responses to American women’s writing in audio form including audiobooks, podcasts, audio dramas, archival recordings, and so forth. Papers may address topics such as: sound studies approaches to literary analysis; the popularity, cultural influence, and marketing of audio texts; diversity (or lack thereof) in audio productions or performances; pedagogical strategies for teaching audio texts or guiding student productions of audio texts, etc.  Send abstracts (250 to 300 words) and brief bios (no more than 60 words) to Desirée Henderson, dhenderson@uta.edu by February 15, 2021.
