SSAWW’s Graduate Student Caucus

SSAWW’s Graduate Student Caucus aims to support the development and continued excellence of SSAWW by offering graduate students and junior faculty opportunities to participate actively in the life of the organization. Our goals are to build an inclusive community for all interested graduate students working in the field; provide interdisciplinary and cross-institutional support for research, publication, and other professionalization; and connect graduate students and early career faculty with mentorship.

SSAWW’s  Mentorship Match Program

This program pairs dissertating graduate students with a faculty mentor who will read and provide feedback on two chapters of their dissertation over the course of one academic year. In the Spring of that year, graduate students and their mentor match will be part of a series of online SSAWW panels that feature graduate student work on their developing dissertation project. This is a great opportunity to obtain feedback on your work, make connections with faculty who are not at your institution, and share your dissertation project with a wider audience.

The 2024-2025 cycle is now complete. If you are a graduate student or faculty member interested in participating in this program in the future, please feel free to reach out to Colton Hicks (cjh319@english.rutgers.edu).
