Judith Fetterley is letting go of some singles and doubles from her personal library. Please read her message below and peruse the list of titles. If you are interested in one or more, please submit this form with your requests by February 28th, 2022. We will operate under first come first served and prioritize graduate students, contingent, and junior faculty. For those receiving books, we will follow-up by email and at that time will ask for a $5 donation to help cover the cost of postage and packing, if your finances allow.

Message from Judith:

I am delighted to have the help of SSAWW in sharing books from my years as a scholar of 19th century American women writers that I must now part with. As I logged each book into the accompanying catalogue, I was reminded of the pleasure I had in reading and learning from it, and of the joy I encountered in sharing this passion with others, many of whom were the authors of these books. The reading group that formed the nucleus of what would become SSAWW started with a phone call I made to Joanne Dobson and a list of people I knew who were working in the field. The “19th Century American Women Writers Study Group” provided me for years with a community of colleagues who were collaborative, supportive, generous, and fun. I can not thank them enough. I gladly offer their work and the work of those they wrote about to others now in the hopes that they will continue to be of use.
